Theatre Under The Stars<\/strong> is excited to announce the cast of the first show in its 2019\/20 Season<\/strong>, A Chorus Line<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cA Chorus Line<\/em><\/strong> is perhaps the best musical ever written,\u201d said Artistic Director Dan Knechtges<\/strong>. \u201cIt\u2019s also got some of the most unbelievable choreography you\u2019ve ever seen wedded to an almost perfect score. It\u2019s thrilling, and<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t think of a better show to celebrate our place as Houston\u2019s home for musical theatre.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leading off the cast is Clifton Samuels<\/strong> as “Zach” and Sarah Bowden<\/strong> as \u201cCassie.\u201d Joining them are Brooke Averi<\/strong> as \u201cKristine,\u201d Tiffany Chalothron<\/strong> as \u201cConnie,\u201d Brian Corkum<\/strong> as \u201cMark,\u201d Sean Ewing<\/strong> as \u201cAl,\u201d Veronica Fiaoni<\/strong> as \u201cMaggie,\u201d Samantha Marisol Gershman<\/strong> as \u201cDiana,\u201d Eddie Gutierrez<\/strong> as \u201cPaul,\u201d Paige Faure<\/strong> as \u201cSheila,\u201d Leeds Hill<\/strong> as \u201cGreg,\u201d Logan Keslar<\/strong> as \u201cBobby,\u201d Jacob Major<\/strong> as \u201cDon,\u201d Celia Mei Rubin<\/strong> as \u201cVal,\u201d Alex Stewart<\/strong> as \u201cMike,\u201d Gabi Stapula<\/strong> as \u201cBebe,\u201d Madison Turner<\/strong> as \u201cJudy,\u201d Josh Walden<\/strong> as \u201cLarry\/Associate Choreographer,\u201d and Sharrod Williams<\/strong> as \u201cRichie.\u201d Austin Colburn<\/strong> and Yasmyn Sumiyoshi<\/strong> will serve as swings.<\/p>\n

As previously announced, A Chorus Line<\/em><\/strong>, will be directed by Julie Kramer<\/strong> and choreographed by Jessica Hartman<\/strong>. They are joined by Music Director, Michael Horsley<\/strong>; Set Designer, Ryan McGettigan<\/strong>; Costume Designer, Colleen Grady<\/strong>, Lighting Designer, Michael Gilliam<\/strong>; and Sound Designer, Andrew Harper<\/strong>. Casting for A Chorus Line<\/em><\/strong> is provided by Associate Artistic Director, Megan Larche Dominick, CSA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The singular sensation that is A Chorus Line<\/em><\/strong> opened on Broadway in 1975 and was an instant classic. This incisive portrait of the life of the Broadway dancer received nine Tony Awards\u00ae as well as the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It went on to become one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history. A brilliantly complex fusion of song, dance, and compellingly authentic drama, A Chorus Line<\/em><\/strong> is the musical for everyone who\u2019s ever had a dream and put it all on the line. A Chorus Line<\/em><\/strong> runs September 10 through 22<\/strong> at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts<\/strong>.
