Theatre Under The Stars is excited to announce the cast for Disney\u2019s Beauty and the Beast<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Twenty-five years ago, Theatre Under The Stars helped usher in a new musical era with Disney\u2019s Beauty and the Beast<\/em><\/strong>. The show became an international sensation that played a remarkable 13-year run on Broadway and has been produced in 37 countries worldwide. Now, just in time for the holiday season, TUTS brings this magical story to life once again for Houston audiences. Beauty and the Beast<\/em><\/strong> will be directed and choreographed by Chris Bailey<\/strong>, who’s was recently represented on Broadway by Gettin’ The Band Back Together<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Leading off the cast in the roles of \u201cBelle\u201d and \u201cBeast\u201d are Delphi Borich<\/strong> and Michael Burrell<\/strong>. Borich\u2019s credits include the National Tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein\u2019s Cinderella<\/em>, as well as regional productions of Peter and the Starcatcher<\/em> and Gloria<\/em>. Burrell\u2019s recent credits include Hair<\/em>, Meet Me in St. Louis<\/em>, and Amazing Grace<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Keith Hines<\/strong> joins the cast as \u201cGaston\u201d. Hines\u2019 credits include an Off-Broadway production of Cougar The Musical<\/em>, the National Tour of Jersey Boys<\/em>, and regional productions of Camelot<\/em> and Les Miserables<\/em>. Eddie Korbich<\/strong> is playing \u201cMaurice.\u201d Korbich was in the Original Broadway Companies of Seussical<\/em>, Wicked<\/em>, Disney\u2019s The Little Mermaid<\/em>, and A Gentleman\u2019s Guide to Love and Murder<\/em>. He\u2019s also appeared on numerous TV shows including Law & Order<\/em> and Nurse Jackie<\/em>. Price Waldman<\/strong> and James Patterson<\/strong> join the cast as \u201cCogsworth\u201d and \u201cLumiere\u201d respectively. Waldman has appeared on Broadway in A Gentleman\u2019s Guide to Love and Murder<\/em>, The Little Mermaid<\/em>, and The Lion King<\/em>. Patterson has been seen on Broadway in Gigi<\/em>, Disney\u2019s Beauty and the Beast<\/em>, and State Fair<\/em>. Carla Woods<\/strong> joins the cast as \u201cMrs. Potts\u201d. Among her many credits are the First National Tours for both All Shook Up<\/em> and Sister Act<\/em>. Barrett Riggins<\/strong> returns to TUTS in the role of \u201cLefou.\u201d Riggins was last seen at TUTS starring in the 2018 production of Memphis<\/em>. His other regional credits include All Shook Up<\/em> and Ragtime<\/em>. Nasia Thomas<\/strong> is playing \u201dBabette\u201d. Thomas joins TUTS after appearing in the pre-Broadway engagement of Ain\u2019t Too Proud: The Temptations<\/em>. She has also appeared on Broadway in Beautiful: The Carole King Story<\/em>. Jana Ellsworth<\/strong> is making her TUTS debut as \u201cMadame de la Grand Bouche.\u201d Brennan Emeka<\/strong> is playing \u201cChip\u201d. A student at The River Performing and Visual Arts Center, he most recently appeared in TUTS\u2019 production of Oklahoma!.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the cast in the Ensemble are Drew Carr, Courtney Chilton, Tyler Galindo, Logan Keslar, Jacob Major, Grace Muawad, Jessie Peltier, Kiaya Scott, Christopher Tipps, Cara Treacy, Madison Turner,<\/strong> and Phil Young<\/strong>. The production also features an ensemble of students from TUTS Humphreys School of Musical Theatre<\/strong> and The River Performing and Visual Arts Center<\/strong>. The Student Ensemble is: Julie Ames-Zungia, Asante Anglade, Abigual Caudle, Abriel Coleman, Mabyn Coleman, Emma Kate Farlow, Carlos Garza, Isabella Garza, Bryce Gilleylen, Henry Hackney, Michael Karash, Julian Lammey, Natalie Lammey, Campbell Lemons, Kelly Lomonte, Jaclyn Moreno, Caden Moser, Riley Neal, Hannah Pettit, Francisco Ramos, Cameron Redwine, Ava Reistroffer, Sara Roldan, Myranda Sanchez, Cohle Smith, Eleanor Soltes, Ainsley Stonebarger Vivian Tallerine, Claire Valdez, Jessie Vance, Zoe White, Ayvan Williams, Abby Yadan,<\/strong> and Mia Zatarain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Joining Bailey on the production are Music Director, Stephen W. Jones<\/strong>, Set Designer, Kelly Tighe<\/strong>, Costume Designer, Colleen Grady<\/strong>, Lighting Designer, Rob Denton<\/strong>, Sound Designer, Andrew Harper<\/strong>, Hair and Makeup Designer, Gerard Kelly<\/strong>, and Associate Choreographer, Beth Crandall<\/strong>.
